STUDIO/WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking a full-time studio/warehouse assistant to join our busy design studio based in Marrickville, Sydney.

The candidate will be actively involved in all aspects of our small business, from assisting Rachel with screen-printing and studio maintenance, to managing and maintaining stock levels and co-ordinating the general management of the warehouse.

Working closely with all members of our team, the ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, extremely organised with an eye for detail, and is able to prioritise multiple tasks across a variety of different deadlines. We need someone who is self motivated and able to navigate an extensive to-do-list! This may include everything from painting the studio wall, washing fabrics and samples, jumping in front of the camera for a social media post, to organising warehouse space for an upcoming delivery. 

 

THE ROLE

  • Artwork assistance including screen printing, preparing canvas for painting, preparing base fabric for artworks, painting the studio wall, cutting paper to size for prints

  • Assisting with social media: content creation, styling, filming videos

  • Assisting with pack n wrap

  • General warehouse duties including restocking product, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, making space for large deliveries and receiving deliveries

  • Managing stock of material for Rachel (reordering canvas, paints, silk screens, other supplies)

  • Organising and maintaining product samples so they are ready for loans and shoots, making organised archives of discontinued product, familiarising yourself with current and archived stock

  • Maintaining tidiness in Rachel’s studio and in the office to keep everything running smoothly

  • Using Shopify to check orders, adjust stock levels as needed

  • A little bit of modelling!

 

JOB DETAILS

  • The successful candidate must have the willingness to develop and shape this role to suit our ever growing and evolving brand and ensure best practices are always kept for CASTLE

  • Ability to use a sewing machine is recommended but not essential

  • High attention to detail, neatness and precision is essential

  • Knowledge of Shopify is recommended but not essential

  • Retail experience is recommended but not essential

  • Time management and ability to prioritise tasks is a must in this role

  • Ability to make a mean cup of tea is a dealbreaker

  • You will need to be a strong team player and enjoy getting involved in all aspects of our business

  • Commencement date for this role is negotiable

  • Salary offered is variable, based on skills and experience and we welcome any and all applicants
